A phrase caught my attention in the sermon on Sunday – “Blinded by the darkness”. John says you are either walking in the light or are blinded by the darkness. What is the difference? The way you love. Everything always comes back to love. We have to learn how to love like Jesus does and that starts by learning how to love our brothers and sisters in Christ. Yes, even when it is hard. When we love well and with eyes wide open, we can ‘see’ where we are going and will not stumble.
