What is so good about Good Friday? The day that our Savior died? True, we are sad about the horrible way Jesus was treated and what he had to go through, but we know the rest of the story. We know what happens next. Even without the resurrection, the events of today are the best news you could ever receive. Sin, a problem that you couldn’t deal with on your own, that you could never give enough sacrifices to remove, has been paid for! Jesus did what he had been sent to do.
So we challenge you. Jesus has given us an assignment also. John 13:34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” How can you show love to someone today? You might have to get creative during a shelter in place, but there are still lots of options.
