We rounded out 2020 by finishing up our review of the fundamental truths of Assemblies of God doctrine. It worked out nicely to have the study of the New Heavens and the New Earth on the night of New Year’s Eve. What an amazing time to review God’s wonderful promises for us as we prepared ourselves for 2021 and spent some time praying in the new year. Revelation 21 and 22 are nice chapters to read any time you need to remind yourself of what we have to look forward to.
1 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
Revelation 21:1-4
All things will be made new!
We will be beautifully adorned.
We will have a new city.
God will be with us.
No more crying.
No more death.
No more mourning.
No more pain.
The old will be gone.
Love is preparing a place for us. A place better than the one we have now. It will come. Love will reign. Love Renews!
