Pastor Curtis is in the middle of a series about whether Christians should observe the Jewish holidays and he is also investigating the meaning of the Hebrew year 5783.
Yesterday, we discussed the number ‘3’. In Hebrew, this is gimel or g and is the third letter of the alphabet. It is also a pictograph that means to ripen, reward, benefit, or can represent a foot, a camel, or hope.
What is our hope? In 1 Corinthians 15:12-28, Paul lays out an argument that our hope in is Christ and not only in him but in the power of his resurrection. It is a great passage, check it out. (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/…)
What important things come in sets of three? The trinity – Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Our essence which is based on his – body, soul, and spirit. The levels of holiness in the temple – the outer court, inner court, and holy of holies. On the third day, God created all the wonderful fruit of the earth that we can enjoy as food. On the third day, God raised Jesus from the dead. And more.
