Happy Birthday America (that’s you),
We have much to be thankful for this month as we celebrate 250 years as a nation of free men and women, under God. Our freedom of religion was made abundantly clear to me when I saw so many people on-mission at the World Cup soccer game in Dallas last week. Not to mention that our country is safe, clean, beautiful, and has an incredibly high standard of living. I hope you will take a minute this 4th of July to thank God and to pray for our nation too. You can join us at 9am in the Sanctuary on July 4th to do just that!
But I am also thankful to all of you for such an amazing month of June. We put a pause on our discipleship classes in June “to give our volunteers some rest”, but in reality we hit the weight room and strengthened our church muscles in so many ways!
In addition to our regular excellent worship services, Armory services, and Sabbath dinners we also:
– Concluded 9 weeks of Financial Peace University
– Trained 6 people for our Compassion Care Team!
– Refresh training for all of our Prayer Team, added 2 people to our Prayer Team!
– Refresh MinistrySafe training for all of our teachers, helpers, and ministers
– Trained 1 person for the Worship Tech Team
– Had a work day at the church
– 6 youth and 2 adults had an amazing experience at NTX camp
– 4 youth and 4 adults evangelized at the World Cup in Dallas
– Added new audio/video capabilities for our Worship Team
– Added lights and power in much of the Matt 633 building, yay!!!
– Trained our Board of Directors on financial oversight
– AND we were able to collect and donate $1950 to send to Pack of Hope

Ephesians 4:11 Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. 12 Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.
We built up the church this month because you are willing to be the Body of Christ. I thank all of you for your hard work and for being part of LAMP Ministries.
Sincerely,
Pastor Nate
