What is Inner Healing?
- Sozo: Saved, Healed, and Delivered (Wholistic: Spirit, Body, Soul)
- Sozo is used 110 times where our english bibles translate the word ‘saved’!
- Verb: Save, heal, deliver, protect, preserve, make well, make whole
- Matt 1:21 – She will give birth to a son, and he will ‘sozo’ his people from their sins.
Why do we need it?
- Must understand that our bodies, spirits, and souls affect each other
- Even after salvation, we still live in the body of our ‘old man’, we all have baggage
- Pain and Unforgiveness often cause us to build up walls. We think they protect us, but they become strongholds. Nothing gets in, but we can’t get out either.
- Lies that we believe affect our worldview and how we relate to others, especially God
- Bill Johnson – “ We cannot afford to have thoughts about ourselves that God doesn’t have about us.”
- We (should) go to the doctor for our bodies, (should) go to a counselor for our minds, and we (should) have a spiritual checkup with the Holy Spirit as needed

Scriptural Support
- John 8:31-36 – Everyone who sins is a slave to sin. If you hold to my teaching, you are my disciples. You will know the truth and the truth will set you free.
- Heb 4:12 – Word of God is sharper than a two-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
