We have been working ‘behind the scenes’ on our ministry plan and goals. This week we would like to share some of those items. The best place to start is with our mission and vision.
Our mission, our assignment, our primary goal and the thing we should always keep in the forefront of our minds as we make plans and do activities is simply to obey Jesus.
Mission Statement:
Matt 28:19-20: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
It has 4 parts:
- Reach the Lost
- Worship God
- Equip Believers
- Show Compassion
Our mission should match just about any other church that you would look up as we believe this is the primary mission of the “church” as a whole. But our vision statement is more personal. It tells how we want to achieve our mission with our unique DNA and in our unique time and place.
Vision Statement:
The pastors and staff at Active Love Church desire to create a missional community. We seek to build an active culture where we:
(1) Expect members to continually grow and learn,
(2) Demonstrate God’s love to every family in McGregor,
(3) Meet needs in the local community, and
(4) Reach surrounding cities through ministry multiplication.
