God made preparation for the first coming of His Messiah by sending messengers with a message of repentance. The message for us this Advent season is one of purification, to prepare our hearts and lives for Jesus’ second coming.
Malachi 3:3 He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites [that’s us] and refine them like gold and silver. Then the Lord will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness
