I have reached the age where my peer group is starting to be dismayed by the changes in our bodies. In the last few weeks, I have had multiple conversations with friends about gray hair, changing hormones, energy levels, and new creaks and groans when we get up in the morning.
Imagine my delight to have pastor preach on this verse yesterday. Though his main point wasn’t to encourage me in my aging journey, it was a breath of fresh air to be reminded of this principle. What a promise! We aren’t supposed to live in this body forever. The outer body is kind of important in the now, but our inner self is so much more important and we should be taking care of it. And when it is time, we will get a new body that will never fail.
God renews us day by day. Let God renew you. I sure need it.
