What is the most you have had to sacrifice to meet Jesus? How important is spending time with him in your life?
The woman who touched Jesus’ cloak had an issue of blood. She was considered “unclean”. Even though she was pretty sure she wasn’t contagious like the lepers, she still was supposed to stay outside town and if she came into town she was to yell “unclean!” as she walked the streets so people would know to avoid her. And yet, she risked breaking some social rules in order to have an encounter with the living God. She knew he had what she needed and she didn’t even think it was worth bothering him. “If I can only touch his cloak!” She got her healing, but then she got even more as Jesus took time to validate her existence and give her some encouragement. Mark 9:22 Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.”
So we say to you today, in the midst of your personal struggles – Take Heart, Jesus loves you.
