What a list! Do you find yourself with any of these characteristics? Do you think that you could be a good leader? If you already lead people, do you think this is the right list of what makes you ‘good’ or could you work on a few things?
It is not surprising to me that many of these items are what we would call ‘moral’ characteristics. Even among the many groups/cults/gangs that the majority of us would consider illegal or immoral, the members still follow a ‘code’ and show loyalty to the group and each other. Many people agree that they want to follow a leader who is loyal or has integrity. This is because even if they don’t know it, they want to follow a leader like Jesus. We are drawn to the characteristics of God when they are found in those around us because his word is written on our hearts.
So the questions for the day are: Who are you following? Do you have a good leader? Who are you leading? Are you leading well?
